About Numrova
Who is behind Numrova
Numrova is an independent project created and run by Lorenzo Diana, based in Italy. It is not part of a bank, a lender or a comparison site, and it has no products of its own to sell you. When this page says “we”, it means Numrova, and Lorenzo is responsible for everything that gets published.
Our mission
We want everyday maths to be quick, private and easy to trust. Questions like “how much will this loan really cost me?” deserve a clear answer, along with an explanation of how that answer was reached. That is why every Numrova calculator is free and available in both English and Italian.
The first tool is the loan calculator. Others are on the way, including compound interest, percentages, discounts, tips and VAT.
How our calculators are built and checked
- Everything runs in your browser. The numbers you type are processed on your own device and are never sent to a server.
- Formulas live in code, not in spreadsheets. Each calculation is implemented once and reused wherever it appears, so the same inputs always give the same result.
- Automated tests. Every formula is checked by automated tests against values worked out by hand and against published references. If a change breaks a result, the tests catch it before it goes live.
- Explained, not hidden. Each page shows the formula, walks through a worked example step by step and answers common questions, so you can check the logic yourself.
Editorial principles
- Texts are reviewed before publication, and every page shows a “last updated” date.
- We write for people first: plain language, short explanations, no filler.
- Each language version is written for its own readers rather than translated word for word.
- We do not invent figures, rates or rules. When something depends on your country or changes over time, we say so instead of guessing.
- When we find a mistake, we fix it and update the date.
Independence
Numrova is built and maintained independently. No lender or financial company decides what we write or how our calculators work, and no result is tuned to steer you toward a particular product.
A note on results
Our calculators give estimates, not financial advice. Real offers can include fees, rounding rules or terms that a general tool cannot know about, so always check the official documents from your lender or provider before making a decision.
